ITA - Emergency NGO: Progetto Italia
My unforgettable experience and collaboration with EMERGENCY within the context of the ‘Italy Programme’ in Ragusa and Milan gave me the opportunity to understand the reality of some of the working and living conditions there. In Ragusa, migrants work in greenhouses overnight due to the extreme heat, picking tomatoes. In Milan, we met a diverse population of marginalised people: migrants, the homeless and drug addicts.
I tried to document EMERGENCY’s activities, which treats those who often do not have health coverage and assists them in accessing the national healthcare system. My project aims to be a testimony on the value of humanity: both of the assisted and of the assistants. Humanity that I hope you feel in seeing these photos.
