UAE - Mussafah: labour camp
An insight in one of the labor camps that populate Mussafah, the industrial district of Abu Dhabi. Labor camps are privately owned, mostrly by the employer of the workers staying there, and accomodate the huge immigrant population who came to the Emirate to work. Most companies are careless to provide their workers with even a moderately decent accommodation at the labour camps. They don't even provide proper food while the medical help is a real privilege. Sometimes workers share beds when they work in different shifts. Many employers who recruit these workers are far from following the rules and regulations governing the living conditions of the employees, which has been introduced, by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to safeguard their interest.
