The Los Angels River is now constrained trough a concrete channel that makes it more a storm drain than a river. Dry most summers, the river often flooded following heavy winter rains often with deadly consequences before the channel was built. In these photos the concrete is revealed in all its majesty as the water unnaturally moves to the background.
