USA - Everything Must Go
Memories of stores who went out of business. The lack of human activity underlines the harshness of the reality on the employees.
In the last months a wave of retail store closures hit the USA and it is still going on.
People are now devoting bigger shares of their income on experiences that they can post about on social media like traveling and dining out while spending less on apparel and accessories. Not to mention that in the United States the number of stores per capita far outnumber that of any other country.
But obviously the rise of e-commerce, and smartphone penetration are the main causes of this onslaught.
Are we leading to an era without no human direct interaction ?
