the Theme building one of the most important examples of the Googie architectural style at Los Angeles airport. It was designed by the architectural firm Pereira and Luckman and was completed in 1961.
It resembles a flying saucer that has landed on its four legs.Constructed near the beginning of the Space Age, the building is an example of how aeronautics and pop culture, design and architecture came together in Los Angeles. It features a round hall suspended from the center of two massive crossed arches of stucco-covered steel.
